If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Trail Sweeps SPC respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. By entering this Sweepstakes, you are required to provide your name and email address. This information is collected and retained strictly for internal audit and compliance purposes to verify entry validity, ensure fairness, and contact the weekly winner.
If selected as a winner, you will be asked to provide your preferred payment handle (e.g., Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App) to receive your prize. This payment information will also be retained securely solely for financial accounting and audit purposes.
Entrants will not be automatically added to any newsletters, promotional mailings, or marketing lists unless they explicitly opt-in to receive such communications at the time of entry. Your personal information will never be sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than the direct administration of this Sweepstakes.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent

1. Notice of Financial Incentive
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), our weekly sweepstakes is considered a “Financial Incentive” because we offer participants a chance to win prizes in exchange for the collection of personal information.
- Summary of the Incentive: We offer eligible participants the opportunity to enter a weekly sweepstakes to win outdoor gear, and cash
- Material Terms & Information Collected: To enter, you must provide certain personal information, including your Name, Email Address. We use this information to verify eligibility, administer the sweepstakes, and notify winners If users deliberately select to be added to an email list we also use their information to maintain that list.
- How to Opt-In: You opt into this financial incentive by submitting an entry into the sweepstakes via our website or mobile application and affirmatively agreeing to the Official Rules.
- Right to Withdraw: You have the right to withdraw from the financial incentive at any time. You may withdraw by contacting us at trailsweeps@gmail.com and requesting that we delete your sweepstakes entry data. Please note: Because your personal information is required to administer the drawing and notify you if you win, requesting deletion of your data prior to the prize drawing will void your entry into the current sweepstakes.
- Value of Consumer Data: The value of the personal information we collect is reasonably related to the value of the prizes offered. We estimate the value of your data by calculating the expenses associated with running the sweepstakes—including the retail cost of the prizes, software hosting, and administrative operations—divided by the anticipated number of participants.
2. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information:
- Right to Know & Access: You have the right to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months.
- Right to Deletion & Correction: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate data or delete any personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (such as retaining data necessary to complete a transaction or comply with legal obligations).
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: Trail Sweeps SPC does not sell your personal information to third parties for direct monetary profit. However, if we use third-party analytics or advertising cookies, it may constitute “sharing” under the CCPA. You may opt out of this sharing at any time by [Insert instructions, e.g., clicking the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of our website].
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
