Contest Rules & Eligibility

• Get Outside: Head out to any local, public trail in the United States and pick up litter to be eligible for the giveaway. (Your own trash does not count!)

• Respect the Outdoors: Please stay on designated trails and respect private property. Do not trespass or damage surrounding habitats to retrieve litter.

• Entry Limit: Each item of trash = 1 entry into the giveaway, (Max 5 entries per person per week)

• How to Enter: Take a photo of the trash you picked up either before you pick it up, or at the end of the hike before you throw it away. We will use this to verify the winners submission.

• Winner Selection: Winners are drawn randomly at the end of the weekly contest and will be notified via email that they won.

• Cost: This contest is 100% free. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR ATTENDANCE AT ANY SALES PRESENTATION IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

1. SPONSOR: The sweepstakes is sponsored by Trail Sweeps SPC a Washington Social Purpose Corporation offering nature photography prints and digital downloads, located in Washington State.

2. ELIGIBILITY: The Weekly Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Trail Sweeps SPC, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void outside the United States and where prohibited by law.

3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes runs on a weekly basis, beginning every Tuesday at 12:00 AM Pacific Time and ending every Monday at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Entries must be received before the end of the period to be considered. The winner will be chosen the day after the sweepstakes ends. The current Sweepstakes runs from August 11th 2026 12:00AM PST – August 17th 2026 11:59PM PST

PROGRAM MODIFICATION: Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or discontinue future weekly sweepstakes at any time. If, for any reason, the current Sweepstakes is compromised by technical failures or fraud, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the remainder of the Sweepstakes Period and award the prize in a random drawing from all eligible entries received prior to cancellation.

4. HOW TO ENTER: There are two ways to enter:

• Method A (Standard Entry): Visit trailsweeps.com. Complete the entry form by providing your full name, email address, and a photograph clearly documenting items of collected trail trash. Photos not containing all the items of trash will be considered invalid entries.

• Method B (Alternative Method of Entry – AMOE): To enter without picking up trash or uploading a photo, neatly hand-print your complete name, valid email address, and your favorite United States hike on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to: Trail Sweeps SPC, Trail Sweeps SPC, PO Box 341 Kirkland, WA 98083.

Limit 5 total entries per person per week, regardless of entry method.

5. RIGHTS GRANTED BY YOU: By submitting a photo entry, you understand and agree that Trail Sweeps SPC shall have the right to use, publish, broadcast, and distribute your submitted photo and first name for promotional purposes, leaderboards, and gallery displays without any further compensation or notice.

6. PRIZE & ODDS: One winner weekly will receive $100 cash prize ((Actual Retail Value “ARV”: $100). Four secondary winners will receive $25 (Actual Retail Value “ARV”: $25). The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the weekly Sweepstakes Period.

Prizes will be paid out via one of the following methods: Zelle. The winners will decide their preferred method.

7. WINNER SELECTION: The drawing will be conducted weekly on Tuesday following the close of the previous week’s Sweepstakes Period. Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified via email within 48 hours of the drawing. For the current sweepstakes the winner will be notified on before 08/04/2026 at11:59pm PST

8. DATA PRIVACY & RETENTION: Trail Sweeps SPC respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. By entering this Sweepstakes, you are required to provide your name and email address. This information is collected and retained strictly for internal audit and compliance purposes to verify entry validity, ensure fairness, and contact the weekly winner. If selected as a winner, you will be asked to provide your preferred payment handle (e.g., Zelle) to receive your prize. This payment information will also be retained securely solely for financial accounting and audit purposes.

Entrants will not be automatically added to any newsletters, promotional mailings, or marketing lists unless they explicitly opt-in to receive such communications at the time of entry. Your personal information will never be sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than the direct administration of this Sweepstakes. 

9. WINNERS LIST: To request a list of winners for prizes valued over $25, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Trail Sweeps SPC, Trail Sweeps SPC, PO Box 341 Kirkland, WA 98083. All requests must be received within thirty (30) days following the close of the relevant weekly Sweepstakes Period. Please specify the exact contest week (by date) you are requesting.

10. TAX RESPONSIBILITY: All applicable state, local, and federal taxes resulting from the acceptance of a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. If a winner is required to pay any such taxes, those payments must be made directly to the appropriate government entity. Trail Sweeps SPC will not request, withhold, or collect any tax payments on behalf of any government agency. (Note: If a single entrant wins $600 or more in a single calendar year, they may be required to complete an IRS Form W-9).
